Roads and Transportation
Our transportation system is approaching gridlock in the next decade, and the County currently lacks the funds to adequately enhance the transportation infrastructure. As a member of the County's Transportation Task Force, which studied traffic models based on hypothetical future scenarios, I can tell you the truth---There is no single road project that will get us out of this problem.

It's
time to look at transit and road solutions comprehensively. We need
policies that make development in the County consistent with a vision of a
transportation system that works.
Local road
and intersection improvements can improve our mobility
and our safety.

We also
need to invest in mass transit. I support the Inner Purple Line, Corridor
Cities Transitway, enhanced Metro and Ride-On services.
The ICC has been proposed as a panacea to our traffic problems. It is
