The past few years we have seen both or interior designers and clients gravitate towards cooler colors such as blues and greens, so we are excited that warmer tones are going to be in for the new year. Tonal reds are a great way to add complimenting contrast while providing the warmth that will be sure to make your home feel more inviting and energizing. Similar to floral patterns and brass decor, incorporating geometric patterns is no new trend. Yet for the new year geometric patterns are expected to become a dramatic presence. Colors will be bolder with oversized patterns. This is a trend that will help make a bold statement in any room. A chic and easy way to incorporate this pattern into your home decor is by adding geometric throws.
The succulents trend was alive in well in 2018, but now things have gotten a little out of control. A few cleverly placed plants make your home look and feel amazing. But there’s a limit. If your living room resembles a tropical jungle or your windowsill is so covered in succulents you can’t see it anymore, it might be time to scale back.
Already, 2019 design trends are shaping up to be a lively, approachable blend of warmer takes on tried-and-true colors (take Benjamin Moore’s 2019 Color of the Year) and natural materials and finishes. Design experts are making 2019 kitchen trend predictions and making the call on what prints and patterns are going to be big in the coming year—and now designers are talking about the trends they plan to use in their work.
