Dear Friends,

Thanks to you, it was a great ending to a wonderful campaign. We followed up a first place finish in the primary with a first place finish in the general election and, yes, that does feel good. In a time of big money and special interests it's good to know that a grass-roots campaign can succeed, fueled by the efforts of volunteers and by something as simple as one neighbor talking to another. You put a lot of time, energy and money into helping me win a second term, so I know you're invested in moving this County forward and I'm proud to be your representative and partner.

During the last four years, I worked hard to reach out and talk to, and listen to, as many voices as I could throughout the County. I really enjoyed meeting people, getting to know their concerns, and finding ways to address them. As much as the big issues — schools, transportation, finances — affect all of us, every community is different and the small things that impact people differently do matter. I want to assure you that my staff and I will continue to build on these efforts over the next four years. continues >
